In bed almost all day. One long phone conversation and internet activity and much sleeping. A grey and gloomy day outside and pretty chilly. I am snug and happy in here.
This is where I live. Beside the lagoon. When I am lonely or feel trapped here in my small town, I forgot that I am fortunate to be healing in this place with the saltwater and the animals and birds.
The nights are quiet and dark and safe. Fairly soon, the waters and the weather will warm again and I shall be able to swim. Its a kindly small town and restless though I am – its good to me.
“at the heart of every frustration lies a basic structure: the collision of a wish with an unyielding reality.”
― Alain de Botton, The Consolations of Philosophy
